Bonjour!

I would love to talk with you in French but unfortunately I did not do so well in French class at school. I am an Englishman coming to Lille to enjoy my first game in December - nothing to do with Joe Cole, I just like watching LOSC! I am planning to buy tickets online - will they post them to England for me? It also says Canal+ is offering 25% off tickets (OGC Nice, December 21st) - is anyone willing to share the code with me? Where would you recommend sitting, of the available seats?

I notice in another topic someone asked how Yohan Cabaye is getting on - the answer is very well! He is very well regarded in England already, and is seen as a good signing. Gervinho on the other hand is struggling in a poor Arsenal side... Hopefully he will find the form he showed at LOSC.

Thank you! At home I am a Portsmouth supporter, so am looking forward to seeing some nice football for once!

Hey Donald,
Welcome here! Happy to read that u enjoy watching Lille games. we feel very lucky cause not so long ago (80ies & 90ies), we were struggling every year just to stay in Ligue1. After some too long years in Ligue 2 between 1997 & 2000, we have begun an incredible improvement of results and keep showing great spirit as always. This has been materialized by an astonishing 2010-11 season with Ligue1 title & French cup.

21st of December vs OGC Nice, expect the weather to as cold as in England for same date. Our new arena 'Grand Stade Lille Metropole' is not yet opened (next summer) so we will welcome you in our athletism pitch 'le Stadium'. If you do not want to stay there as an ice statue for winter time, I strongly recommend you to book tocket in 'honneur' tribune or 'presidential'. For sure, if you want to enjoy the supporters kop atmosphere, you should book in North tribune and bring your warmer clothes.

Thanks for the news concerning Cabaye & Gervinho!
Good for Cabaye, even if Newcastle is not as bright and shiny as it has been in the past.
Gervinho will come back to his best football after a while. He took time to show his talent & to become efficient with us back in 2008-09 days.

Cheers to U,
Go LoSC!!

Welcome Donald.

As Joe said you might not have the best weather during that game but Lille-Nice games are usually nice to watch (even though it often ends in a draw lol).

If you plan to buy a ticket I suggest you get it fast because tickets for all home games can be bought since June...

Be sure to visit the city too. Many English tourists visit it and seem to love it. :)

How come you got interested into Losc's matchs ?

It's nice to see that foreign people start to notice, and even better support us. I'd never have imagined that scenario happening just a few years ago

Both Losc ex players scored in Premier league last week end !

Gervinho has, at last, shown a tiny bit of his huge talent with two assists and the opening goal against Stoke City ; and Cabaye scored a beautiful shot against Wigan.

Go Losc !

Hello, I am also a LOSC fan from England, you can call me a glory supporter as I only started to like Lille the year they won the league. I got interested in Lille when I heard the news that my hometown team Newcastle Untied we were buying Yohan Cabaye so I watched the last game of the 2010/11 season and I sort of fell in love with the team and French football. I have never been to France but my dream is watch Lille play live. Fortunately for me ESPN have a Ligue 1 review every week so I'm sure to watch it when it is on. I am also planning on buying the new Lille kit very soon. :losc:

P.S thank you for Cabaye he is a wonderful player and everybody here and Newcastle loves him very much.

Yeah, there's a sport shop in England which sell loads of different kits, I'm buying mine online. I'm sorry i'm a glory supporter but I will follow LOSC as closely as I follow my hometown club Newcastle, even if LOSC we're to be relegated. Lets hope this never happens :losc: losc-5ec

They do sell LOSC shirts at Sports Direct on Oxford Street, London. Shirts retail at £38-42, They had a load of home and away strips. There was also the 3rd black strip. I bought the red one.

Was going to come for the Ajaccio game but I do have a ticket for the Brest game on Nov 10th. Just booked my travel. Looking forward to visiting the new Stadium.

Welcome NUFC!

Nice to read some Englishmen supporting Lille and Glory supporter or not you still remain a Lille supporter and that's the biggest point!
You made such a good signing with Yohann. Now NUFC is turning quite well with Alan Pardew but I hope Sunderland will pinch an European place just in front of Newcastle

Sports Direct, maybe the best sport shop I know! I don't understand why football shirts are kinda more "affordable" in England than in France.

Hope u'll enjoy the Brest game and the Stadium.

Most French supporters are glory supporters so don't you worry about that.

But being from England, you probably have what French don't: a football culture.

Anyway, it's cool they sell Lille shirts in England. :)

The real glory supporters are the PSG fans  .

also, I doubt that Sunderland will get European place this season but if they keep signing players like Fletcher and Johnson then they'll be there in a few seasons, i'm also really worried about the derby on Sunday :?
